For the past four years, Roxbury Prep has worked with the Boston Planning and Development Agency, our development team, community members, parents, students, and staff to advocate for a permanent high school building for our scholars at 361 Belgrade Ave. After much consideration, Roxbury Prep has decided to step away from the 361 Belgrade Ave. site at this time. Due to the global pandemic, there have been significant changes in the Boston real estate market, where new, affordable sites are now becoming available. Our team is doing their due diligence and hopes to have information on a new site soon.
Stepping away from 361 Belgrade Ave was not an easy decision and we are so thankful to the over 800 Roslindale and West Roxbury residents, and over 2,000 Boston residents, who took action in support of our project, in support of equity, and against what were at times racists claims about our students and our school. Though we are leaving Belgrade, we will never stop fighting for equal opportunities for our scholars.
Our organizing work for a permanent site for our scholars continues, and we will continue to update you on our progress via this email list.

Nice talking point, @wutrain. You know real, systemic change starts at home. Here in Boston, @BostonPlans has held up @RoxburyPrepCS's plans for a new high school for Black& Brown kids in Roslindale (your backyard!) for 550+ days. Where do you stand on that? #BeCourageous
We agree! We also have a lot of work to do here in Boston to end systemic racism. You can start us on that road by allowing @RoxburyPrepCS plans for a new high school for Black and Brown kids to be placed on the @BostonPlans agenda. 550+ days and counting without an explanation.
